I’ve written before about how the whole cat vs. dog idea isn’t as true as we all believe. Well, it might be kind of true for my dog, who runs barking at every cat it sees. But, then again, my dog pretty much barks at anything and everything. So we’ll go ahead and give him a pass.
Wherever the idea originated, there seems to be a deep-seated belief that dogs and cats have disliked each other throughout history. However, I’m pretty opposed to this, and I even have proof. Those who believe in this battle of the pets clearly haven’t seen the amount of videos, pictures, GIFs, and more that I’ve seen with cats and dogs getting along with each other.
So, needless to say, I don’t believe that dogs and cats don’t like each other. Well, once you’ve seen today’s video, you’ll probably feel the same way. The video, which I may or may not have already watched over ten times, shows us an adorable baby kitten. But wait, there’s more! A full-grown Golden Retriever, clearly aware of the adorable kitten in front of it, decides to come in and check up on the little feline.
Now, immediately this is a pretty amazing concept. After all, there’s nothing better than seeing a small animal hanging out with a larger animal. It’s just science. However, the Golden Retriever checking up on the (I assume) recently born kitten makes me hope these two will be friends forever. In fact, that almost seems like some kind of awesome movie. Hmm, I’m going to have to write that down…
